Novo Nordisk Expands Social Media Efforts in the US

Novo Nordisk is expanding with a new Twitter account (@NovoNordiskUS), run by its US media relations and corporate communications director Ken Inchausti and focus on “news and views on diabetes and chronic disease for US audiences”.

PMLive further elaborates that this Twitter account joins the Danish pharma company’s existing accounts on the social network, which focus on corporate sustainability, graduate recruitment, and government affairs and public policy.

Having Diabetes Type 1 myself, I’m interested to learn how Novo Nordisk is going to shape the account in relation to its focus of “news and views on diabetes and chronic disease for US audiences”.

Right now I am reading a mix of different types of news, but not neccesarily related to diabetes and chronic diseases. This diverts focus and content and can be a reason why people can stop following the account. Another approach is to broaden the focus and make this clear in the description (biography) of the Twitter account.

What kind of content would you like to see from Novo Nordisk on Twitter?
For instance news around new researches, how to cope with diabetes, news about new appliances etc.
